Iraisa Ann is a writer, actor and educator originally from New Jersey. Growing up she discovered her love for running while playing soccer and training in the off-season. In high school she was a member of her school track team, competing in the 100 and 400 meter hurdles and mile relay. Her love for long-distance running continued to grow in college, and she has completed two marathons and numerous half marathons. These days, she runs simply because she loves to. She began coaching for Run4Fun in 2023 and enjoys the ability to combine her background in education and theatre with her love for sports. Iraisa Ann believes that theatre and sports are closely related and both inform her teaching and coaching practice. She holds a BA in theatre and English from the University of Notre Dame and an MFA in Dramatic Writing from NYU.
